Saint Finbarr’s Oratory

     Finbarr became the first bishop and a founder of the city of Cork, Ireland in the 6th century. On a small island in a remote part of the Irish countryside he established a cloister, surrounded by mountains and a reflecting lake. It is one of the most beautiful and serene countryside locations to be found. I was fortunate enough to arrive in the autumn season as heavy clouds slowly descended the sides of the nearby mountains. I spent a lot of time scouting possible shooting locations before settling on this one.
