Sunset Flight

     Cabin-bound for an entire day due to a horrendous storm, the following afternoon I found that peace and calm had settled over the land. The sunset was a wonderful reward for having to wait patiently (I cleaned camera gear and edited images while the storm raged on).

     In keeping with the spirit of the weather, I camped out on the shoreline with tripod and chair to watch as Nature painted the evening sky in shades of gold. As I enjoyed the beautiful calm, so did the geese whom I was able to catch flying across the lake. I anticipated the flight possibility, so I had set the camera accordingly to capture the flight. It all combined to set the mood for the image I wanted to convey what I was feeling at the time.
