Poulnabrone Dolmen Morning Light

Poulnabrone Dolman is a Neolithic (3000-4000B.C.) single chamber, portal tomb situated on one of the region’s highest points overlooking the remote Burren in Ireland. Originally completely buried under mounded earth which has been lost to erosion, what remains is a large capstone supported by pillar stones that formed the sides of the chamber, along with two portal stones at the chamber’s entrance. Using a long exposure to streak the clouds in the early morning light helped to enhance the feeling of antiquity and isolation.
