Callanish Stones Golden Light

     Pre-dating Stonehenge, this ring of stones was erected on the Isle of Lewis in Scotland during the late Neolithic Age. It was used for rituals for some 1,500 years which was well into the Bronze Age. What can be seen here is of the main circle of stones with smaller circles located nearby. This image is a golden hour capture which I prefer for such settings. The low light adds contrast and shows off the texture and shape of the stone.
